This Privacy Policy describes how Ajanta LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CommunityRide – Carpool App ("App").
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo provided via OAuth sign-in (Google or Apple).
- Membership Information: Full name, phone number, vehicle details, and community affiliation entered during community registration.
- Identity Documents: Photos of identity documents (e.g., driver's license) uploaded for community membership verification. These are stored securely and accessible only to community administrators.
- Location Data: Precise GPS location is collected from drivers during active rides to display live driver position and ETA to riders. Location is only collected while the app is in the foreground and an active ride is in progress.
- Ride Data: Pickup addresses, destinations, scheduled times, ride history, ratings, and FuelShare transaction records.
- Device Information: Device push token for in-app notifications.
- Camera Access: The camera is used to capture and upload identity verification documents during community membership registration.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the carpool matching service within your gated community.
- To verify community membership and identity.
- To display live driver location and ETA to matched riders during active rides.
- To calculate and display FuelShare ride cost contributions and savings.
- To send in-app notifications about ride status, confirmations, and reminders.
- To display driver ratings, karma points, and ride history.
3. Information Sharing
- Community Members: Your name, vehicle details, and driver rating are visible to approved members of your community.
- Community Administrators: Admins can view membership details and uploaded identity documents for verification purposes.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services for authentication (Google/Apple OAuth), cloud hosting (Railway), and file storage. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at ajantallc.2020@gmail.com.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), JWT-based authentication, and secure cloud storage to protect your information.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
